John was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. A real down to earth fun loving guy. Always made us laugh. Always ready for a great boat ride or game of horseshoes. So many great memories at "the ranch" barbeques boat rides and great company. Jos and I loved John so much! Great friends for at least 25 years. You were and always will be jos's best friend!!! You are so very much loved and missed Rest in peace with the Lord. We will all be together again. Love you John Jos & Lisa

I met Johnny in the summer of 2001, when I was hired to play an annual picnic and camping gathering to celebrate the 4th of July, through Mark Roufer. We hit it off immediately and have maintained a relationship ever since. To say that J.R. Was a “know it all” could never be taken in a negative way, sharp as a tack and always willing to help a friend is a common way to explain his nature. I/we all loved this man for his generous and selfless ways. You will be sorely missed Johnny Boy. I’m certain he is in Heaven to enlighten the Angels on how grapes grow and to share his ability to fix that old truck, farm equipment, motorcycle and to take wine making to the distillery level of making home made Brandy.
