Virginia Louise Sneed Virginia Louise Sneed, age 81, of Lakeport, California died peacefully in her home on January 16th, 2021. Virginia was born on July 20th, 1939 in Delano, California to David and Ellen Kuns. She married Ron Sneed on May 3rd, 1959 and they raised two daughters. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and loving husband. She is survived by her two sisters, Dorothy Keene and Judy Wood; her two daughters, Carin Hawks (Jeff) and Wendy Brossard (John); five grandchildren, Danielle McCauley (Shane), Janelle Porsov (Dennis), Sierra Houghton (Jared), Austin Brossard, and Samuel Brossard; and four great-grandchildren, Anson McCauley, Claire Porsov, Kelton McCauley, and Marcus Porsov. Virginia’s life reflected her love of Christ, her love and care for family and friends, her limitless curiosity, patience, giving nature, and many talents. Virginia moved to Lakeport her senior year of high school. With her upbeat personality, she quickly made friends, joined the cheerleading squad, was voted Most Fun All Around, and even became Basketball Queen. She and Ron kept a beautiful garden and would delight family and friends with fresh produce, dill pickles, and blackberry ice cream. Every year they would go elk hunting and Virginia would make elk jerky so delicious that all family members vied for their share. She was a talented seamstress, sewing clothes and Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren. She even sewed a wedding gown for her daughter! Virginia was gifted in performing arts; in church she played the piano, organ, and guitar, narrated plays, and recited long bible passages from memory to the amazement of others. She was a devoted member to the Lakeport Christian Center, an Assemblies of God church for over 50 years. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious and her selflessness and generosity of spirit touched so many lives. She will be missed by all who knew her. Due to the COVID pandemic, services will not be held for Virginia.
