John Demartini - Carl was a great guy! He had a very distinctive laugh. I have known Carl for a long time. I used to see Carl at the Louie Vermiel Race Classic. Since the Covid, I wondered how Carl was doing? So sorry to hear of his passing and I send out my condolences to Alice and family. Not to many people know this but Carl, Milton Uhler , and Walt James were the first people to start WRA (Western Racing Association) Carl owns the number 21 Sprint Car. Those were truly great days. Most often we don't realize how good the days were until they are gone.

Carl attend my Church. We often sat in the back row together. He was always kind, gentle, and compassionate. Carl’s wife,Alice, provided loving and kind care to him. I recall him patiently waiting in the car while she practiced with the choir. Before service started, Alice (with the help of parishioners) would escort Carl into Church. Carl’s strong presence will missed at Church. He will still be with us!!!

He will be greatly missed. He is always such a nice gentlemen.
