Roger Rainey Dana
Roger Rainey Dana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 30, in Lakeport, CA at the age of 76. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was predeceased by his son, Steven, and siblings, Lamar, Sanette, and Andra. He leaves behind his wife, Susan; daughter, Liz; and sons, Brian, Robert (Wendi) and Jason (Stephanie); grandchildren, Jesse, Anika, Nathan, Amber, Jessica, Ashlyn, Gabriel, Kacy and Jackson; great-grandchildren, Kyler, Shelby, Hudson, Kaylee, Asher and Jordan.
Born in Afton, Wyoming on April 4, 1945, to Wilford and Donna Dana. Graduated El Dorado High School and attended Sierra and Shasta J.C.s. Began a 27 year career in banking with Bank of America in 1967 beginning as an Operations Officer Trainee and finishing as a VP. Married his wife, Susan Shifflett, on January 8, 1972. Moved back to Kelseyville in 1990 and 4 years later began a second career owning 7 Subway restaurants for the next 14 years. Life was busy with family, sports, traveling, collecting vinyl records, and loving pets Roxy and Ava. Roger held a number of positions in charitable organizations throughout his lifetime.
Graveside Memorial Service will be held on December 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Kelseyville Cemetery, 3375 Bell Hill Rd. with a reception to follow at the Kelseyville Lions Club 4335 Sylar Ln, Kelseyville. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Roger’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the charity of your choice.
