I’m Jessica Garcia, Leonard’s granddaughter. I have many memories to share, but not sure if I can write a novel here. A most recent memory, or rather a collection of memories is when my grandpa met his great granddaughter Gwen last autumn. Lonny and grandpa were coming to Morgan Hill to visit. I got home from work, and I see this corvette parked outside our house. The door opens and out comes my grandpa from this extremely low driver’s side car seat. I asked if he needed help and he said no, I can do it! We hugged and kissed, as it had been a few years since we’ve seen each other. We talked over a screwdriver and wine, spent some time in the backyard and he fell in love with my daughter Gwen. They were so cute together! She was almost two years old then. I didn’t know that would be the last time I would see my grandpa, but it was a lovely visit and I’m glad that is the last memory I have of him. Cheers Grandpa! We miss you!
