Julietta Lawson (Julie)
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Julietta Concepcion Lawson, affectionately known as Julie. She passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2023, just two days following her 81st birthday.
Julie was well loved and will be missed by all, especially Ben, her husband of 58 years; son, Greg Lawson and his wife Rhonda Philips; daughter, Michelle Balthazar and her husband Joe, and step son, Aaron Light and his wife Maria. She was a special grandmother to Trevor, Trent, Benjamin, Gabrielle, Lauren, Elisa, Charlie, Marcos, Loric, Ella and Ian; and four great grandchildren, Juliette, Emelie, Sophie, and Emelia. She is also survived by her older sister, Amparo Castellaño in Canada, many nieces and nephews and her loyal pups, Lilly and Chiquita.
Julie was born in Guatemala and migrated to San Francisco at the age of 19. Joined by all of her siblings and parents they worked hard to create a beautiful life in the United States. Julie had a passion for hosting parties, gardening, anything animal and traveling around the world with Ben. She also worked in many volunteer organizations in Lake County.
We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Lake County for their excellent care and guidance during her last few months.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life pot luck will be held at the Keys Club in Clearlake Oaks on Saturday January 13th from 12:00 - 3:00 PM.
