Native American Visitation
Graveside Funeral Service
Condolences
Manuel always said you were more his brother than his nephew. He was so proud of your Navy service. Manuel told me many things about Doug, including the jobs he held in Lakeport as a young man. He and Lynn lived with us for a while in Sacramento, and he worked at McClellan Air Force Base. We know how lonely he was for Lynn, his beloved. Doug is famous for his green thumb. He planted an Italian Cypress tree in our front yard so many years ago that is now taller than the house. I remember the beautiful white iris that he planted around the tree in Mom's front yard. While we were at his house the day of the funeral, I saw he had planted holly hocks, a flower Manuel told me his Grandmother loved, and they used to grown wild along the house. He is together with all those that left before him, and happy in his heart.
